Scenes From The Hollyweird Cafe: The Potato Salad Junkie
There is a little debate over how my employment at the Hollyweird cafe ended. One story said I quit, another said I got the axe. But, as I walk up Fairfax avenue on the footsteps of a drunk who won’t stop screaming his opinion of the potato salad, I wonder if I will ever get away from the star lined griddle. The drunk had left behind a tab and the scorn of Mickey the Manager. Mickey is old and hobbles as best he can. He is a cat who wields wisdom like a sword and can play the role of a feble old man like a violin on your heartstrings. You have to be one drunk fool to screw around with a senior like Mickey.
“I must say the Potato Salad made me a little dizzy.”
