Monetary Matters Cover.

Jane, the self proclaimed Queen of Brand Labels, is back with a more advice on how you can make the Greek life work for you. Keep your pants on, it’s not that kind of the Greek life. Learn how you can gain extra money for school on the internets.

With the current high unemployment rate, there is no better time to get back into school than right now. As Landlords use these depressed times to cash in on the devalued construction work and make much needed upgrades to their land, we should learn from their shrewdness and prepare ourselves for when the market swings back into a good frame of mind. Yet the catch 22 comes into the playing field, you would go to school but don’t have access to the deniro. Well have no fear, Jane is here with a hot binary tip to fill up your college coffers and keep you in star sealed Mocha Lattes.

While there is always one easy way to gain cheap classes, you could work at the school of your choice.  Hang around the campus of the college and look for full time job postings on the signboards or in your local newspapers. There might be an administration office you could check out. But who wants the “Ruby” way to higher education? If you are like me, we are far too pristine for menial labor. My skin maybe china white but I don’t wash dishes and my binary tip for you is named “FastWeb”.

In the old days before the streams and screams of 1s and 0s, empty pocket students would turn to various places that offer college scholarships and grants to help them survive the financial times of their Greek years. However while there are many places that offer scholarships and grants, there was never an easy place to find them and sort through the long list in a fashion Webslingers are a custom to. Which brings us back to “FastWeb”. Can you guess the function of FastWeb?

If you answered “a web site that complies and sorts scholarship and grant information in an easy to read list” then you would be right. If your answer was way off, then I need to get better at my set ups. I am working with Heaven Scent bread crumbs here folks, you have to follow along.

To dig towards the truth, FastWeb is a social networking site that matches you with scholarships and grants that are up your educational alley. Once you sign up, you set up a profile compiled from your school background and future hopes. FastWeb then takes all your profile information, and treats it like a Mormon on E-harmony, then spits out a list of Scholarships and grants that are right for you. While Fastweb is a rudimentary system with a couple hiccups, as Aryan Rand’s Scholarship keeps popping up on my list, it is a damn useful site and is a Webslinger’s favorite four letter word “Free”.

FastWeb is not just scholarships and grants, there is financial advice as well. From a database filled with information, to up-to-date news coverage, and Q&As from Financial Aid gurus, you will be a well informed student in the ways of Financial aid. With the help of FastWeb, you will have the fat cats filling your pocket with money. Of course, you have to pay it back. Yeah, I never opt for the Financial aid, but it is a neat feature.

If you want to get out of the college you are in and want to know where else you might go, Fastweb once again has you covered with all the down low on how to get out of your college town and into a sunny campus where the “Stalker” list doesn’t know your name.

The last line was a joke and if you are on a stalker list, through a fault of your own, please refrain from using Fastweb to give you an escape. Maybe you could keep a lingerie clad Mannequin in your closet and periodically open the door to surprise her and feed your fix. When people ask about her, tell them you are learning to unstrap a bra with only one hand. It takes a bit of a snap motion, with your index and thumb, and really only works on a well fitted bras.

And if all of this is not enough, FastWeb also offers information about your life outside school. From the apartment you may need to upgrade, to the social life that needs a kick start, FastWeb sends newsletters, offers forums, and hosts articles rated by fellow students. With help like this, you will be the talk to campus life in no time.

If you are planning to go back to school, remember to make FastWeb your first pit stop. They will help with a bunch of things you don’t want to worry about and might even help you get the money to pay for it all. Did I mention it was “Free”, the cost is enough of a reason for your patronage, but the perks will blow you away.
