If you are new or have plopped onto this post from the strangeness of Google, this is an update. This is the second installment of Storyteller in our Audience Participation categories. You can go back to the start with “Who is your Storyteller” or you can keep reading. The choice is yours but it’s a lot more fun to go back to the start and have some fun with us. Remember to post your exercises in the comments.
White People like Condiments
stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com has become my new favorite blog, OK second favorite blog. Currently up to 74 post, Stuffwhitepeoplelike is about stuff white people like and not just a catchy title. Each post is written with a tongue in cheek racist wit, normally reserved for minorities. Notable post include #69 Mos Def, #70 Difficult Breakups, #63 Expensive Sandwiches, and #62 Knowing whats best for Poor People. Check out all the hilarity at stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com
Piano Man
From the crack of noon, my day started on the wrong foot. The sound of a new text bleed into the silence. Digital service is the last remaining present from the pre-war era. Our father’s father couldn’t give us a world to live in but they gift wrapped all their toys. Someday, the satellites shall fall back to the Earth on wax wings and the world will be thrown into savage dark ages but as Janis says “I’d trade all of my tomorrows, for a single yesterday.”
Warren Ellis Crooked Little Vein
A letter from the king of pop Culture, is a moment worthy of notice. I received my letter from his royal intelligence. The note was short and explicit.
“Crooked Little Vein, Warren Ellis. You need this.”
Who Is Your Storyteller?
In an effort to grow as a writer and share a bit of mind set, I give the ANF universe “Audience Participation” a category on our favorite blog where we all can have a bit of fun. As for the size and scope, the future is a bright white light of possibilities. However, in our journey of a 1000 miles, we do have a first step entitled “The Story Teller”.
My Bittersweet Valentine
Wilted roses crushed into parking lot pebble stones and snow heaps marred the picture of my last Valentine and I held little hope for the “08 version. I have no valentine or a want for one and worry these are the clues to a larger ice cold soul problem. Could the bight lights and warm temperature of the Glitz and Glamor defrost a frozen heart’s hearth? The past year had yet to answer in any positive direction.
Drawing Fishnets on the Wall
The Winters in L.A. are a strange event for a transplant. The wind carries the aroma of the cold months but the weather is tee shirt friendly. Citizens walk around in all manor of dress regardless of the date. 365 days a year, you can bet dollars to donuts there is a pair of fishnet stalkings somewhere in the city.
American Nonfiction Update
Hello All,
I wanted to drop a quick note to everyone out there. Things are going really well in the ANF Universe and everyone deserves a big thank you. I would like to thank my regular readers out there, feel free to drop comments on any of the blogs, or even shoot me a mail at WesleyABridle@americannonfiction.com. Lost in a Bit World.
I tuned into a internet radio station which plays nothing but soundtracks to video games. I sit dumbfounded that a station like this even exist and more than one listener is interested. Seems a good night to get stoned and think about it all to the Mario theme.
